Drill Guide / Depth Gauge Instruments

Variable and Fixed Angle drill guides with a multi-purpose depth gauge feature are a popular instrument choice for small, bone trauma and upper and lower extremity plating systems. Instrument can be modified to meet various tolerances, sizes and dimensions including cannulated sleeve diameters and hypo tube distal end styles (smooth, angled, cleat, etc.).

TruFix™ Handles with Integrated Drivers and Tools

The TruFix family of fixed drivers comes in various handle configurations: small, medium & large axial, palm, and t-handle with customer specified integrated drivers/shafts, inserters, probes, awls, rasps, reamers and drill bits.

Reduction & General Use Forceps

Robust and configurable forceps are used widely by surgeons for trauma, sports medicine and degeneration correction procedures of the upper and lower extremities. The polymer forceps are high strength/rugged and can be configured with various distal end tip types and designs to match your procedural needs, forces and dimensions.

Flexible Trial Plates

Trial plates can be single or double sided and with customized markings and designs for procedure specific use. This volar plate trial is one of many that ECA Medical offers for trauma and elective procedures for upper and lower extremities, spine, sports medicine and large joints. Trials can be configured for specific implants and techniques and come in both radiopaque and radiolucent types. They can be stand-alone sterile accessory devices or as part of a complete surgery ready™ procedural kit.

Drill Guides

Single and double-sided drill guides are common tools for extremity plating and minimally invasive surgery (MIS) procedures employing Kirschner wires and various guide pins. Sleeves can be metal or polymer or hybrids and feature customer specific inner and outer (ID/OD) diameters to meet clinical requirements, enhance OR efficiency and provide excellent surgeon handling and line of sight.

Screw Caddy

The ECA Medical screw caddy is fully configurable and designed to hold the full complement of screw types for various stand-alone applications and plate fixation procedures. Screw slot design offers stable transfer and easy access allowing for positive screw engagement/purchase and driver tip retention (stick fit) features. Screw caddy comes in various packaging configurations usually with implant plates in a sterile double sterile barrier tray.

TruFIX Small Axial Handle

Molded polymer handle with AO connector and positive lock feature/button to hold drivers and blades for implant fixation or insertion.

TruFix T-Handle

Molded polymer handle with AO or ¼” square connectors and positive lock feature/button to hold drivers and blades for implant fixation or insertion.

TruPWR™ SLIM Torque Limiting Instrument

Designed to provide precision final torque limiting under power at torque set points from 0.8Nm to 3Nm. The AO connection on the proximal end allows easy connection to all popular medical power tools/handpieces with an AO chuck. The distal end of the torque limiter houses the customer specified driver shaft and tip and is fully integrated into the TruPWR Slim instrument. TruPWR™ Slim comes sterile pack with all validations, patient labels, IFU and shelf box and is sterile, surgery ready™ in the OR. It can also be part of a larger turnkey procedural instrument kit.

TruPWR® Torque Limiting Instrument

If high torque is required TruPWR™ is the solution to speed surgeries and reduce surgeon fatigue. Designed for complex spine, scoliosis and other demanding open and MIS procedures requiring precision torque and multiple connectors, TruPWR is the instrument of choice for top spine companies offering their surgeons state of the art solutions to ease surgeon implant fixation workload and achieve precision final tightening. TruPWR is also used for various IM nail, large joint and specialized procedures for securing implant and protecting reamers and patient bone and tissue. TruPWR provides final torque limiting under power at torque set points from 5Nm to 14Nm. The instrument is validated to work with many popular power tools/handpieces including Stryker, CONMED and DeSoutter tools. TruPWR™ comes sterile pack, surgery ready™ with all validations, patient labels, IFU and shelf box.

TruTORQ™ Precision Torque Limiters (Axial)

TruTORQ™ precision hand operated single use, sterile and surgery ready™ torque limiters are available in full range of handles and connectors. Palm handles and small, medium and large axial handles with AO and 1/4” sq. connectors are offered with torque ranges from .8Nm to 4Nm covering implant fixation requirements including trauma, upper and lower extremities, CMF, spine, large joint and sports medicine procedures. Instruments come with 5-year shelf life and +/-10% tolerance.

TruTORQ™ T-Handles (Standard)

TruTORQ™ precision hand operated single use, sterile and surgery ready™ torque limiters are available in full range of handles and connectors. Standard t-handle can accommodate an AO or 1/4” sq. connector and has torque range from 2Nm to 6Nm covering implant fixation requirements including trauma, upper and lower extremities, spine, large joint and sports medicine procedures. Instruments come with 5-year shelf life and +/-10% tolerance.

TruTORQ™ T-Handles (Offset)

TruTORQ™ precision hand operated single use, sterile and surgery ready™ torque limiters are available with Offset T-handles. Designed for demanding high torque from 5Nm to 14Nm the TruTORQ™ Offset T-handle has 1/4” sq. connector with positive lock feature and button to secure the driver when robust conditions demand the maximum design margins. TruTORQ Offset T is ideal for large bone fixation, spine, and large joint procedures. Instruments come with 5-year shelf life and +/-10% tolerance.

TruCLIQ™ Ratchet

TruCLIQ™ is the industry leading single use ratcheting handle for final fixation of a wide range of medical device implants and constructs. The bi-directional instrument is clinically robust and ergonomic, giving surgeons full hand control, tactile feel, and audible feedback throughout the implant procedure while reducing hand motion and fatigue. Cannulated for minimally invasive procedures.

TruCLIQ is offered in a variety of handle types (small, medium, and large axial, palm, and t-handles), colors and configurations and private label options with AO and ¼” square connectors to mate with compatible stainless-steel drivers.

TruCLIQ™ has clockwise (CW) and counterclockwise (CCW) operation and a neutral fixed driver position achieved by a simple toggling of the handle 3-way switch.  TruCLIQ™ is available as stand-alone instrument solution in a PETG tray and shelf box. It can also be part of the bill of material for a procedural instrument set.
