Vice-President of Sales & Marketing - Douglas B. Slomski

Mr. Slomski has over 20 years of management experience in the medical and surgical device industry. Douglas started his career with Baxter Healthcare, V. Mueller Division where he was intimately involved in the manufacture, marketing and sales of Heyer-Schulte Hydrocephalus Neurological shunts, catheters and V. Mueller hand held surgical instrumentation. These responsibilities grew to include the management of V. Mueller Surgical Instruments, Incorporating Edwards Orthopaedic into the V. Mueller Armamentarium, Arthroscopic and Endoscopic complete product lines, and the Custom Order/Special Order organization for Class I, II, III surgical instruments and implants. Mr. Slomski moved his career to Griffith Microscience as a regional sales manager, helping to grow the company to the world''s largest ETO Sterilization Management company. Rising to the position of Vice President of Sales, Mr. Slomski was integral in defining Sterilization Management to the marketplace, the creation of Griffith Analytical Labs, and outsourced Hospital Sterilization. Mr. Slomski next joined Multivac GmbH, where he created the Medical Division, and then grew the newly formed division to the largest sterile barrier, FFS medical equipment supplier in North America, in a three-year time period. Returning to his roots in Chicago, Mr. Slomski headed up the OEM Sales team globally for Teleflex Medical OEM-Orthopaedic surgical products, assisted in the successful sales and marketing integration of the Specialized Medical Devices, Lancaster, PA implant acquisition, and eventually transitioned to become the Vice President of Sales at Greatbatch Medical - Orthopaedics. In 2010 Mr. Slomski joined the ECA Medical Instruments family as Vice President Sales and Marketing, launching new product development and sales of cost-responsible, single procedure instrumentation to the global community.

Mr. Slomski has a B.S. Biology from Loyola University of Chicago and an M.B.A. Marketing from The Dominican University, Brennen School of Management. Mr. Slomski is credited with over 10 patents in medical devices, packaging and sterilization processing equipment.
