Jim serves as VP, Customer Solutions responsible for business development and customer solutions for cardio, neuro, cardiovascular and orthopaedic accounts. He joined ECA in March 2012 and has over 30 years’ experience in medical product, biotech and high-tech firms serving in executive, sales, marketing, engineering and operations roles at companies ranging from start-up to Fortune 500.

Prior to ECA Medical Instruments he was VP Sales & Marketing at PBS Biotech, a single-use bioreactor company supporting development of injectable drugs and vaccines. Earlier he was a VP & General Manager at Jabil Circuit Inc., a $20B (NYSE) global CMO overseeing the company’s power electronics divisions in the US, China and India & was President/CEO of Red Rocket, Inc., a 700 employee US power electronics firm with manufacturing operations in Mumbai, India, and created from a MBO with Jabil.

He was Sr. Director of Engineering and VP at MSC Software (NYSE), world leader in finite element analysis (FEA) software used to improve product design and performance in the aerospace, automotive, medical and industrial product development process. He was also EVP Sales & Marketing at EOS Corp, a global power electronics firm and a corporate VP at Whittaker Corporation (NYSE) leading the development of the world’s first tele-medicine system for evaluation of radiology files as well as business development, investor relations and corporate communications.

Jim was a co-founder and president of Peninsula International Trading, a middle east trading and contracting company and earlier was editor-in-chief and publisher of Defense Electronics magazine, the C3I Handbook and the International Countermeasure Handbook. He started his career serving as a US Air Force flight engineer and later worked as a DOD civilian in our nation’s military and intelligence space & ICBM programs serving in senior staff, intelligence and operations roles.
